Tidewave Rails is an MCP (Meta-Cognitive Protocol) server designed to empower coding agents with deep, runtime-level access to Ruby on Rails applications during development. It acts as an intelligent intermediary, allowing agents to execute Ruby code directly within the running application's context, query the development database, read live logs, retrieve source code locations, and access documentation specific to the application's exact gem versions. This capability enables agents to perform tasks akin to a 'Rails console for agents,' facilitating more accurate debugging, development, and testing by grounding agent actions in the live state and context of the application.
