Italy Open Data

This tool functions as an MCP server, providing access to a wealth of Italian open data such as details on municipalities, provinces, regions, postal codes (CAP), coordinates, and other geographical information. It offers a suite of 7 intuitive tools designed for developers to easily navigate and query the Italian administrative hierarchy. By leveraging official sources like ISTAT and ANPR, the server ensures data accuracy and relevancy. Data is downloaded lazily on first use and cached locally in a compact SQLite database, enabling offline queries and high performance after the initial setup. Installation is straightforward via `uvx` or `pip`, requiring no Docker.
