The JFrog server extends the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to bring the full power of the JFrog Platform directly into developers' IDEs and coding assistants like Copilot or Cursor. It enables AI systems to respond to natural-language queries with real-time, actionable information from JFrog, empowering developers with direct access to capabilities such as resource management, artifact search, package curation, and security monitoring. This remote server implementation, maintained on the JFrog Cloud, uses OAuth for authentication, eliminating the need for API key management, local installation, or manual upgrades.
