Yes. The skill saves your token to a local .env file with restricted 600 permissions and masks the token in all status displays to prevent accidental exposure.

Yes, for changes to the bot token or OpenAI key, you should restart your Claude Code session or run the reload-plugins command for changes to take effect.

How does the 'pairing' policy work?

Pairing is a temporary mode where the bot provides a code to new users who message it. You then use Claude Code to approve that code, moving the user to your permanent allowlist.
