It functions as an encrypted card vault equipped with a customizable policy engine, allowing you to set rules for agent-initiated transactions. When an agent reaches a checkout page, ClawPay evaluates the purchase against your predefined policies (e.g., amount limits, merchant blocklists, human approval thresholds), decrypts card details if approved, and returns them to the agent to complete the transaction. It serves as a pragmatic solution for agentic commerce on the vast majority of websites that do not yet support advanced protocols like UCP/AP2, aiming to provide a functional bridge until universal adoption of more structured payment systems.
