Optimizes gravitational wave signal detection using AI and the Model Context Protocol.
This project offers an AI-powered system for detecting and optimizing gravitational wave signals, specifically for events like GW150914. It leverages the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to establish a client-server architecture, where an AI client intelligently explores complex parameter spaces to refine signal detection, and a server performs the actual gravitational wave analysis. Developed and validated at the AI for Science Hackathon, this system demonstrates how LLM-agents can automate scientific discovery by consistently converging on optimal parameters and successfully identifying real gravitational wave events in LIGO data.
