Kilntainers is an MCP server designed to equip LLM agents with secure, isolated, and ephemeral Linux sandboxes for executing shell commands. This robust solution empowers agents to leverage the full power of Linux utilities like `grep`, `find`, and `awk` for complex tasks, all while eliminating the security risks associated with direct host OS access. Supporting a range of backends, including Docker, Podman, cloud-hosted micro-VMs (Modal, E2B), and WebAssembly sandboxes, Kilntainers ensures each agent operates within its own dedicated, clean environment. These sandboxes are automatically created for the duration of an MCP session and then shut down, guaranteeing no shared state or exposure of sensitive agent data.
