ResearchSync provides a comprehensive solution for managing academic research papers. It features a FastAPI-MCP server designed to connect with MCP Hosts like Claude Desktop, facilitating the retrieval of paper metadata from arXiv and its storage within a Notion database. Additionally, it includes a web application (currently Gradio, with future plans for React) with a FastAPI backend that uses Notion and Redis databases to store metadata and vector embeddings of arXiv papers. This system automates the monitoring of arXiv for ML/AI publications, fetches relevant metadata, converts abstracts into vector embeddings for fast semantic search, and enables AI assistants to query or manage the database via MCP.
