mcp-scapes provides a unique architecture for federating multiple knowledge graphs, or 'child servers,' by drawing inspiration from the brain's topographic organization. It enables semantic routing of queries and content across these servers, where similar concepts reside in proximity, and boundaries between knowledge domains are fluid gradients rather than hard divisions. The system uses embeddings and a temperature-controlled softmax function to assign 'soft' membership weights to knowledge items across all domains, allowing a single query or content piece to activate and route to multiple relevant servers simultaneously. Child servers register dynamically, and their centroids automatically update, enabling an adaptive and evolving knowledge federation.
