The Storybook MCP Addon runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server directly from your Storybook instance, facilitating a powerful workflow for AI-assisted UI development. It allows AI agents to automatically generate and link example stories for new UI components, enabling visual verification, documentation, and testing of key states. The addon exposes tools for agents to receive UI development instructions and retrieve direct URLs to specific stories, enhancing efficiency and ensuring adherence to project conventions, primarily supporting Vite-based Storybook setups.
