This tool functions as an MCP server, empowering AI to directly write and execute TypeScript code against the Tana Local API. Instead of rigid, predefined API calls, the "codemode" pattern allows for more dynamic and complex interactions, providing a highly flexible way to automate and manage Tana workspaces, nodes, tags, and content. It includes robust features such as top-level await, timeout protection for script execution, SQLite persistence for script history, and a WebSocket-based debug UI to facilitate development and testing of AI-generated scripts.
