Axon is a zero-cloud server designed to empower local AI coding agents with crucial hardware and runtime intelligence. It operates directly on the developer's machine, providing structured context over standard I/O (stdio). This allows agents to intelligently decide whether to proceed with tasks, adjust parallelism, defer operations, or prompt the user for environment cleanup, effectively preventing common issues like misdiagnosed slow builds, resource contention, and thermal throttling that arise from agents operating blind to host machine conditions. Prioritizing privacy, Axon ensures no telemetry, analytics, or outbound network calls, keeping all hardware and process data local.
