Gnosys provides AI agents with a robust long-term memory system that stores knowledge as atomic markdown files with structured frontmatter. It eschews traditional databases or vector stores in favor of plain directories, leveraging Git for versioning and FTS5 for efficient searching. This approach allows memories to be human-readable, easily managed through a comprehensive command-line interface, and integrated with tools like Obsidian for visual browsing. Gnosys also functions as an MCP server, enabling seamless integration with various AI agent environments such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Codex, ensuring agents can discover, add, and update knowledge effectively throughout their lifecycle.
