Metsäinfo is a comprehensive application designed to visualize and access Finnish forest resource data. It features an interactive map viewer where users can search for properties by ID or click on the map to get detailed summaries of forest stands, including timber volume, tree species distribution, age, growth, and proposed felling/silvicultural measures. Beyond its user-friendly interface, Metsäinfo also functions as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, enabling AI tools like Claude Code and Claude Desktop to query and analyze forest data directly within conversational interfaces, facilitating AI-driven forestry analysis and recommendations.
