How does the analysis work?

It scans your local Claude Code history file (~/.claude/history.jsonl) from the last 24-48 hours to identify projects, technologies used, and specific challenges you encountered during development.

What kind of insights does the growth report provide?

The report includes a work summary, prioritized improvement areas with specific evidence from your chats, observed strengths, and a list of curated articles with estimated time-to-skill-up for each gap.

Where does the skill find its learning resources?

It uses the HackerNews search API to find high-engagement articles, tutorials, and discussions that specifically address the technical gaps identified in your growth report.

Is my chat history sent to a third party?

The analysis happens locally within Claude Code. Only the final generated report and the search queries for learning resources are processed to be sent to your Slack and to search HackerNews.

Do I need a Slack account to use this skill?

Yes, to receive the automated report delivery, you need to connect your Slack workspace via the Rube MCP tool when prompted.
