Headlesschicken

Long Claude Code sessions get slow and expensive. Every turn re-sends the whole conversation, and after a compaction Claude forgets half of what it was doing. headlesschicken fixes that. Type /headlesschicken in a session that has a task list. You see a double-check card with the goal, the tasks, the stop rules, the permission mode and where questions go. Tap Start, then go and do something else. The run carries on in the background, even after you close Claude Code: - Each chunk of work runs in a fresh session, so context stays small and cheap. - At the end of each chunk, Claude writes a handover. The next chunk starts from it. - When your plan hits a usage limit, the run waits for the reset and carries on. - When Claude cannot decide safely, it parks that task, works on the next one, and sends you one short question on Telegram. Reply in plain text. Send STOP to stop. No Telegram? Answer from the terminal with hc answer. - It stops when every task is ticked, when you say stop, or when a cap you set is reached. Team mode: each chunk works one task like a small startup team. A lead plans, an engineer, designer, marketer or triage agent builds, QA reviews, and the lead ships. What you get: the /headlesschicken skill and the hc runner (a small Node program) in one folder. Install the runner once with npm install -g --install-links ./runner, then run hc setup. Setup checks Node, your Claude Code login, that a session starts, and whether bypass mode is allowed on your machine. Requirements: Claude Code 2.1.319 or later on Windows, macOS or Linux, Node 20 or newer. Optional: a Telegram bot token from BotFather for questions on your phone.
